I do not own this music.
In this project, I drew inspiration from religious icon imagery and the Art Nouveau period. I wanted to show Black women as angels to go against the stigma of us having "too much attitude," or anger. This desire also stems from not seeing representation in my own church back home in the religious art. My church was built in 1869. At the time, the church was unable to find a painter willing to portray Black people in a divine light. So as a result, the artwork inside does not reflect the congregation. This is what I wish I could have seen growing up.

FIRST STYLE FRAMES
These were the first style frames I created for this project, however I wasn't satisfied with them. I knew that they could and should be improved upon. So after receiving feedback from others, I went back for a second go-round.
LETS TRY THIS AGAIN!
Needless to say, the second try went much better than the first round!
THE TECHNICAL STUFF
After redoing my style frames, I went back into Photoshop and began the process of making them easier to animate.
After preparing my layers in Photoshop, I took them into After Effects to begin animating each asset.
